The 21st Century Pathways Program Summer sessions are an exciting way for students to remain engaged throughout the break between academic school years. All of our academic activities take place at our Northeastern Illinois University El Centro Campus.
All three of our 21st CCLC Pathways programs engage in a University immersion experience where each students gets to learn and apply their learning in a number of academic project based activities, language acquisition, field trips and much more.

Summer University Immersion - Elementary D99

STUDENT PROJECT SHOWCASE NIGHT

The Pathways online Summer Program will run for four weeks. Students will be log in to there online classrooms and meet with the project instructor from Monday threw Thursday. Fridays students will take part in a cultural class where they will learn about different cultures and languages.

Architecture
This project is both the process and product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings or any other structures. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are
often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art.
Dance and Performance Arts
Enjoy plenty of activity and movement while learning about the historical and cultural significance of Folkloric Dance. Our instructors from Mexican Dance Ensemble will teach a variety of techniques in the dance studio while preparing students to show off their skills in a theater based performance.
Game Design
This project will explore the area of game design by creating a video game. During the Summer of Innovation 2020, you will learn computational thinking skills, technology tools, and block-based programming. You will be able to engage in game design experiences to create and build your very own scratch game.
Mexican Folkloric Dance:
Enjoy plenty of activity and movement while learning about the historical and cultural significance of Mexican Folkloric Dance. Our instructors from Mexican Dance Ensemble will teach a variety of techniques in the dance studio while preparing students to show off their skills in a final performance.
On Fridays, Students will attend a cultural class in the morning. here they will learn about different cultures from around the world as well as take part ins basic language learning such as ASL, Mandarin, and Spanish. after lunch students will comeback for crafts and we will end every Friday with our raffle drawings.
